A young woman with short brown hair and blunt bangs, wearing a beige tank top and blue jeans, standing with arms crossed against a solid blue background.

I’m Emily-Jayne, Emily, or E-J.

I’d describe myself as an empathetic photographer. I take the time to get to know people, not just photograph them, so they feel at ease in front of my camera. It probably helps that I’m only 5ft nothing.

I specialise in people. Documentary, editorial, commercial, lifestyle. If it involves people, I’m in.

I’m naturally curious. I love hearing stories and capturing something that feels true to life, not just something that looks ‘good’.

My approach is considered and intuitive. Nothing stiff, nothing forced. Just honest, thoughtful imagery that reflects people at their best.

Think of me as a fly on the wall, one that can gently direct and bring out the best in people.

My work’s been described as honest, fresh, and emotive, & I’m happy with that!

Who am I?
